SCHOLLE PACKAGING OPENS NEW FACILITY IN INDIA

02/07/2008 | Scholle Packaging has moved to strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

To build on the success in the region, Scholle Packaging, the largest global supplier of bag-in-box packaging, has taken the important step of opening a sales, service and warehouse facility in India to support its market development initiatives. Scholle’s new office is located in Pune, an industrialised city near Mumbai on the central west coast of India.

Michael Edwards, Managing Director of Scholle’s Asia-Pacific region, said of the expansion: “Our new office in India allows us to import and distribute products from other Scholle divisions located within Asia and throughout the World.” Mr. Edwards goes on to outline the benefits the new office brings to current and prospective customers: “We now have the opportunity to do business with our customers in local currency, provide service and conduct business in the local language and in real time."
