Scholle Corporation Companies
Scholle Corporation was founded in 1947 by chemist, William R. Scholle. The company specialized in nitrocellulose-based products used by manufacturers of consumer goods and was a major supplier to well known producers and retailers such as Zenith, Sears and Eastman Kodak.
Today, Scholle Corporation continues to be privately-held, is managed by the Scholle family and is organized in three distinct businesses: chemical supply; metalized plastics and paper; and flexible packaging. Headquartered in Irvine, California, Scholle Corporation has more than 30 locations around the world and employs over 2000 people.
Scholle Chemical
Scholle Chemical produces ink and lacquer bases, as well as, many protective and specialty coatings for medical, printing and other applications. Based in the Atlanta area, Scholle Chemical is the primary producer of nitrocellulose resin solutions; a major producer of U.S.P. regular collodion and U.S.P. flexible collodion and a full-service co-packer for many well-known consumer and manufacturing brands.
Scholle Vacumet
Vacumet is the world’s leading producer of vacuum metallized plastic film, papers and holographic substrates. Our products provide “Package Solutions” as an integral part of major brand owners’ packaging. Our materials provide functional barrier, decorative, point of purchase appeal, security, labeling and promotional applications worldwide.
